Puma entered my life through deliberate choice and careful planning. Carefully deciding for a suitable breeder, the path led me all the way to the Netherlands where Puma came from. Life gave me just what I was looking for- a canine companion with an exceptional character and work ethics.
Dogs have always been an integral part of my life. Even now, my family includes four dogs, a cat, a snake and two parrots. Our dogs are active in various canine activities and compete in agility with my daughter.
I was browsing on the Internet one day and came across a notice about testing for dog assisted intervention and decided to have Puma tested.
Puma is a Shetland sheepdog, a breed characterised by slight shyness toward strangers. Yet as Puma is nothing of a characteristic Sheltie, and is so much more than that, she passed her tests with flying colours and brought us among the therapy pairs, for which I am eternally grateful to her.
She has brought me among honest, heartfelt people who are willing to take on step further for man… and to draw a smile across one’s face. Thanks to all the PETs, for accepting us and helping us along the way so we can draw the smiles with love, gratitude and dedication.
